Training-Skills and experience required

• DEP or DEC in industrial mechanics or electromechanics or maintenance;
• Possess a C License when the position requires it, otherwise the C License would be an asset;
• Knowledge of the MS office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
• Experience in the food industry, in processes and production lines;
• 2 years of experience in a similar position;
• Good mechanical knowledge and ability to perform manual tasks
• Ability to perform physical efforts and good knowledge of moving heavy equipment
• Ability to do plumbing work (for example: making threads on a pipe, etc.)
• Diagnostic skills and knowledge of equipment using pneumatics, hydraulics and hydrodynamics
• Knowledge and skills for TIG welding to perform sanitary welds
• Ability to work in a team (team spirit)
• Ability to have an efficient organization and a well-structured working method
• Ability to determine the degree of importance of priorities;
• Thoroughness, Interpersonal skills, Diligence, Sense of initiative, Communicator;
• A developed sense of autonomy, ability to manage one's own time;

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
- Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
- Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
- Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.

A day in the life

Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or majors relating to these fields
- To qualify, applicants should have earned a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree between April 2022 to September 2024. Possible start dates for this role are between February 2024 to October 2024.
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous technical internship(s), if applicable.
- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
- Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.

UPS is looking for individuals who enjoy working in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor environment that involves delivering packages in residential areas for UPS Personal Vehicle Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills.

Job Summary

This position is a temporary and seasonal Part-time role requiring use of one's personal vehicle to deliver packages primarily in residential areas.Employee performs in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position involving continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages.

Responsibilities:

• Retrieves, loads packages into personal vehicle, and delivers packages to customers.

Shift:

• Available Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am – 7pm to work minimum 3-5 hours? Normally the start time is between 10am and Noon

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: Base 17.30$/h + 1.70$\h bonus
• UPS will reimburse you 0.59$ for each kilometer you drive

Qualifications:

• Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./32 kgs
• Excellent customer contact and service skills
• Must be willing to use personal vehicle to transport and deliver packages

Job Description

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at a customer's assigned site ensuring the safety and security of customer property and personnel.
• Conducts periodic patrols to check for irregularities and inspect protective devices and firefighting equipment.
• Maintains order and may act to enforce site regulations and guidelines regarding staff, visitors and premises.
• Controls access to the customer's site or facility through the admission process.
• Patrols an assigned site on foot or by vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and checks for unauthorized persons.
• Protects evidence or incident scene in the event of an accident, emergency or security investigation.
• Responds to fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, leaking water, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, severe weather and other incidents.
• Prepares logbooks and reports as needed.

• Valid  security guard license  (BSP).
• Valid  first aid certificate  (CPR).
