The Opportunity:

The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for effective troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of facility electrical distribution systems and equipment in an industrial setting. They will ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications to determine lay-out of industrial equipment and installations
  • Conduct planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records
  • Actively participate in preventive maintenance program on building equipment processing equipment daily
  • Efficient production equipment set up, inspection and shutdown of all related equipment when required, including process changeovers
  • Assist in planning, organizing of work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation)
  • Program, troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial equipment and automation including PLCs, HMI, frequency drives, temperature control and other related devices

What You’ll Bring:

  • Certified Journeyman Electrician with 1-2 years’ experience. Preference to those with proof of completing the Industrial Apprenticeship Program
  • Knowledge of conveyors, motors, pumps / compressor, electrical / electronic controls and high speed packaging equipment
  • Strong working knowledge of HMI's, electric motor controls, programmable logic controllers, basic wiring circuits and skills necessary to safely test common electrical systems and make minor repairs where permitted
  • 442A or 309A license required

  • Receive and inspect inbound product according to the established SOPs.

  • Put away product in correct location based on SOPs.

  • Receive returns, count and confirm quantities, determine condition and complete paperwork (e.g., separate invoices and match to bills).

  • Obtain orders, prioritize if necessary, and select products from the proper locations.

  • Obtain and properly match up reprinted orders.

  • Verify accuracy of orders picked, including product name and size, product code, lot number, expiration date, and quantity.  Escalate concerns to Lead or Supervisor.

  • Stage and securely pack product based on SOPs.

  • Enter inventory into warehouse management system, verify information accuracy, and perform scheduled processes (e.g., billing, reports, issue sheets) according to SOPs.

  • Conduct physical inventory or cycle counts daily, weekly and/or monthly based on SOPs.

  • Develop physical inventory plan, monitor physical inventories, identify all OS&D (over stock/shortages/damages), and report or correct any errors or discrepancies.

  • Quickly respond (via email or phone) to customer/client inquiries, resolve problems, and communicate service issues to Supervisor.

  • Compile daily and monthly client reports per SOP, including customer KPI reports.

  • Encourage safe work practices in others, point out areas where safety training and enforcement is needed, and participate on Comprehensive Health & Safety Program (CHSP) committee.

What is the opportunity?

As a Centre Support Agent within Creditor Insurance, the candidate will provide professional, attentive and accurate service to our internal partners at first point of contact. You will be responsible to meet the immediate needs of the client/partner by processing tasks as required and resolving issues. You will also take accountability to accurately complete transactions and deliver a superior client experience with every interaction, and your primary goal is to provide right solution to our clients/partners, understand their/business needs and respond with the appropriate service or product offering.

 

What will you do?

•Provide consistent service within established Client Service Commitments/Service Partner Commitments and seek to improve the quality, timeliness and consistency of processing operations.

•Identify and recommend solutions to recurring errors and servicing gaps to Team Manager.

•Support revenue growth and focus on other opportunity spotting initiatives, while contributing to the overall success of the team by sharing new ideas and best practices.

•Ensure all authorities (SECAF, anti-money laundering, systems access etc.) are adhered to, reviewed and understood.

•Actively participate in coaching opportunities and learning opportunities to improve his/her individual and team contribution through collaboration.

•Ensure all documents are examined for completeness and accuracy and take appropriate steps to correct for client.

 

What will you need to succeed?

Must-have

•Strong knowledge of Creditor Insurance, systems, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Adaptability to change

•Attention to details and investigative skills

 

Nice-to-have:

•Bilingual, fluency in both English and French

•BLIP trained

Flexibility to work a shift within the hours of business; Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm
