Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 year to less than 5 years
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be adaptable to noisy working environments and be able to be comfortable working in dusty conditions
• The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary, and should be physically fit for demanding tasks

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate excellent oral communication
• The candidates should be known for their reliability and be able to be effective team players

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements, as well as prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
• The candidates should be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, and be able to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• The candidates should be able to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and be able to instruct apprentices
