Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
Security and safety: Criminal record check, bondable, driver’s validity licence check, driving record check (abstract), and basic security clearance
Location: St. Anthony, NL
Shifts: Day, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer and valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Courier company and rural area
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience with motor vehicles
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and should be willing to work overtime when required, demonstrating their capability of handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Candidate Status:

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand accurately and efficiently, while also operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products safely and timely
- The candidates should demonstrate professionalism in customer service when interacting with clients during pickups and deliveries, and should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch regarding pickup and delivery assignments, while keeping a detailed record of items received and delivered to ensure accuracy and accountability
- The candidates should be able to load and unload goods carefully to prevent damage and ensure proper handling, and should be able to sort packages for delivery according to destination and priority, while also being proficient in following directions and reading maps to navigate efficiently to delivery locations
- The candidates should be able to use maps and other trip planning aids to optimize routes and minimize travel time, accurately recording trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered during the journey, while also performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations, overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and operation
