Daycare worker Full-time Job

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Experience with special needs children: Children with behavioral issues, Children with allergies, Children with asthma, Children with diabetes

Location: 5119 50 Street, Viking, AB T0B 4N0
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Before and after school programs, Child care centers, Urban area
Supervision: 5-10 people, 3-4 people

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be physically demanding
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should be punctual, and flexible
• The candidates should be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers, order supplies and equipment, storytelling, assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
• The candidates should be able to support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
• The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties, prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
• The candidates should be able to discuss the progress and problems of children at staff meetings, attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
• The candidates should be able to plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
