Food counter attendant Full-time Job

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

 

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced work environment, capable of handling heavy loads, and willing and able to work overtime as required
• The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks, able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently, and comfortable standing for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure and capable of handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should prioritize client focus in their interactions and be reliable in meeting job responsibilities
• The candidates should be effective team players

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables, carry and replace linen, and clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
• The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, load buspans and trays, and operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
• The candidates should be able to place dishes in the storage area, replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, and sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
• The candidates should be able to scour pots and pans, keep records of the quantities of food used, and package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
• The candidates should be able to serve customers at counters or buffet tables, stock refrigerators and salad bars, take customers’ orders, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
• The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, handle and store cleaning products, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
• The candidates should be able to remove kitchen garbage and trash, sharpen kitchen knives, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
