Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Urban area, relocation costs not covered by employer, and willing to relocate

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
• Overtime may be required for the position, and the candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks
• The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks and demonstrate attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas, set tables, and load buspans and trays
• The candidates should be able to carry and replace linen, replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, and stock refrigerators and salad bars
• The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
• The candidates should be able to operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, place dishes in the storage area, and handle and store cleaning products
• The candidates should be able to keep records of the quantities of food used, package take-out food, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
• The candidates should be able to portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and remove kitchen garbage and trash
• The candidates should be able to serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take customers’ orders, and sharpen kitchen knives
• The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
