Health care aide Full-time Job

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset 
Credentials: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Reference required, Tuberculosis test, Immunization records, Criminal record check

Location: 19655 Walden Blvd SE, Calgary, AB T2X 0N7
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged, Willing to relocate

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be a repetitive tasker
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to supply and empty bed pans, take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse, serve meal trays and feed patients, weigh, lift, turn and position patients
• The candidates should be able to make beds and maintain patients’ rooms, bathe, dress and groom patients, collect specimens
• The candidates should be able to transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
• The candidates should be able to administer first aid in emergency situations, provide personal care, provide companionship
• The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, launder clothing and household linens
• The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, feed or assist in feeding
• The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
