Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years’
Type of heavy equipment operated: Side-boom, Concrete pumping equipment
Type of industry experience: Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction, Road construction
Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Power Line Hazardous Training, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation information: Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, Travel expenses paid by employer
Work setting: Willing to relocate

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in outdoor, hot areas and in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be willing to for overtime

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to operate heavy equipment, clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, operate computer controlled equipment
• The candidates should be able to utilize material safety data sheets (MSDS), complete onboard and other logs, conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
• The candidates should be able to prepare accident reports, secure special attachments to equipment
• The candidates should be able to operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, perform minor repairs to equipment
• The candidates should be able to operate hydraulic pumping systems
