Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Location: Portage la Prairie, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Morning
Work setting: Food service establishment
Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be capable of working in hot conditions
• The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing tasks efficiently under pressure, and be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
• The candidates should be capable of standing for extended periods as required by the job demands

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should prioritize client focus, ensuring client needs are met effectively, and possess efficient interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to varying client demands and changing work environments, and be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• The candidates should be able to train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, estimate and order ingredients and supplies, and ensure food service and quality control
• The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports
• The candidates should be able to establish work schedules
