Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• The candidate should have a driver’s validity license check done.
• The candidate will be required to drive a truck.
• The candidate will be required to have Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).
• The candidate will be required to have Air Brakes Endorsement.
• The candidate will be required to receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate will be required to receive payments for goods.
• The candidate will be required to load and unload goods.
• The candidate will be required to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• The candidate should look after tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
• The candidate will be required to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• The candidate will be required to record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• The candidate will be required to arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations.
• The candidate will be required to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
• The candidate will be required to have documentation knowledge on the Driver logbook.
• The candidate will be required to have documentation knowledge on the Bill of lading.
• The candidate will be required to have professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate will be required to have local transportation experience.
