Bilingual Floater Security Guard Full-time Job

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated individual to ensure the safety and security of Public Service facilities. As a Bilingual Floater Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through various tasks and duties across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and strong communication skills in both English and French.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Access Control: Monitor and manage access to the building, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
• Patrols: Conduct thorough and regular foot patrols, both inside and outside the facility, to detect any suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Escorting Contractors: Safely escort contractors and visitors throughout the premises as required.
• Post Orders: Follow and enforce established post orders to always maintain a high standard of security protocols.
• Other Duties: Perform additional security-related tasks as assigned to maintain the overall safety of the building.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must be fluent in both English and French.
• Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Must have access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with the public and other personnel.
• Proficient in using computer systems for reporting and tracking security activities.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and handle emergencies with calm and focus.
• Must be comfortable standing, sitting, and patrolling for extended periods.
