Food service counter attendant Full-time Job

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

 

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of walking as part of their duties, while also being able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be client-focused and possess efficient interpersonal skills, while also demonstrating excellent oral communication

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas, set tables, and clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
• The candidates should be able to operate dishwashers, place dishes in the storage area, and sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, including scouring pots and pans
• The candidates should be able to replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, package take-out food, and portion and wrap foods
• The candidates should be able to prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and stock refrigerators and salad bars
• The candidates should be able to take customers’ orders, use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, and clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
• The candidates should be able to handle and store cleaning products, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and remove kitchen garbage and trash
• The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
