Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Location: 75 Canterbury Drive. SW Calgary, AB T2W 3S7
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer

 

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors as part of their responsibilities and be able to work in dusty environments
• The candidates should be capable of working in cold or refrigerated conditions, be adept at working in multi-cultural communities, and be able to work in noisy conditions
• The candidates should be capable of working in hot conditions and be adept at handling repetitive tasks efficiently and possess manual dexterity to perform tasks efficiently
• The candidates should be physically fit for tasks that involve handling heavy loads and are physically demanding, willing to work overtime as required
• The candidates should be capable of working efficiently under pressure, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and have good hand-eye coordination

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to prioritize client focus and demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks
• The candidates should be able to exhibit reliability in fulfilling responsibilities and work effectively as a team player
• The candidates should be able to perform tasks with accuracy and showcase dependability in their work

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
• The candidates should be able to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, and level earth to fine grade specifications
• The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials, pave and rake asphalt, and assist in demolishing buildings
• The candidates should be able to clean and pile salvaged materials, clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• The candidates should be able to tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, direct traffic at or near construction sites, and perform routine maintenance work
• The candidates should be able to assist skilled tradespersons
