Industrial Electrician Full-time Job

Molson Coors Beverage Company is currently recruiting for the position of Industrial Electrician (with PLC field experience) for our St. John's brewery. The ideal candidate for this position is a team player who possesses outstanding communications skills and has strong problem-solving abilities. The candidate, who will provide maintenance and asset care support to the operation, will be comfortable in a fast paced, multi-tasked, consumer packaged goods environment.

• Ability to analyze diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures, troubleshoot equipment, order parts, etc.
• Ability to perform predictive, preventative and operational maintenance using procedures such as instrument calibrations, thermography, etc.
• Experience working with high-speed packaging equipment, pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC's
• Responsible for troubleshooting equipment performance problems on the floor using controls systems knowledge and experience
• Responsible for maintaining documentation for PLC program changes and on the production floor
• Programming experience with Allen Bradley, and Siemens PLC’s.
• Mechanical experience / hydraulic and pneumatic systems an asset
• Experience in CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) also an asset.
• Support the new equipment design reviews when required to review the status of the machine design and provide input in reference to the plant’s specifications and good design practice
• Participate in maintaining spare parts to ensure we can support any potential equipment failures on controls related items
• Respond to any equipment downtime issues in plant
• Support equipment capital improvement projects in the brewery

 

In addition the candidate must:

• Work with a safety mindset and ensure brewery and Asset Care compliance with all relevant EH&S legislation and regulations

• Champion a culture of proactive and preventative maintenance with safety, quality, and reliability as key priorities
• Lead the team's pursuit of continuous improvement under the umbrella of World Class Supply Chain (WCSC)
• Be responsible for developing and following the brewery Asset Care strategy aligned to MCBC's
• Always operate in alignment with Our Purpose, Ambition and Values

 

The Other Qualifications:

• Red Seal certified Electrician with either a dual ticket in instrumentation or exceptional PLC and controls/field experience
• 5+ years’ experience in a high-speed, manufacturing environment
• Ability to participate in a culture of continuous improvement with an EHS mindset
• Experience in an Asset Care department is a plus
