Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Rigging and handling, Troubleshooting, Centering and setting to elevation, Bearing, seals and packing, Laser levelling/aligning, Optical alignment, and Computerized alignment
Equipment and machinery experience: Conveyor, Fans and blowers, Heat exchangers, Hydraulic system, Lathes and other machining tools, Monorails, Pneumatic system, Power tools, Pumps and compressors, Tool grinders, Welding equipment, Hand tools, and Forklift
Own tools/equipment: Tools
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test

Location: 11401-92 Street High Level, AB T0H 1Z0
Shifts: Day, Night, Overtime
Transportation information: Own transportation, and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Machinery installation, Various locations, Maintenance, Repair, Willing to relocate, Overhaul, Machine set-up, and Shop work

 

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working at heights and able to maintain focus and safety
• The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments while maintaining concentration and communication
• The candidates should be tolerant of odors commonly encountered in various work environments
• The candidates should be able to work efficiently in dusty conditions, taking appropriate precautions for respiratory health and safety

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should possess excellent oral communication skills and be effective team players

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to coach and instruct apprentices effectively, fostering their growth and skill development
• The candidates should be able to detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery promptly to minimize downtime
• The candidates should be able to repair or replace defective machinery parts with precision and efficiency to restore functionality
• The candidates should be able to fabricate necessary parts using appropriate tools and techniques during maintenance or setup
• The candidates should be able to perform regular routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• The candidates should be able to accurately read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and specifications
• The candidates should be able to assemble machinery and equipment meticulously according to provided instructions
• The candidates should be able to install machinery safely and accurately, ensuring proper alignment and functionality
• The candidates should be proficient in operating hoisting and lifting equipment while adhering to safety regulations
