Welder Full-time Job

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Area of specialization: Structural construction and Cast iron and other metals
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Brazing machine, Butt or seam resistance welding machine, Gas welding machine, Soldering machine, Spot welding machine, and Electrical wiring devices
Credentials: Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate

 

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments
• The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be a team player

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
• The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes, and examine welds to ensure they meet standards
• The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software
• The candidates should be able to operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, and fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
• The candidates should be able to operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC) and determine the weldability of materials
• The candidates should be able to operate hoisting and lifting equipment and previously set-up welding or brazing/soldering machines
• The candidates should be able to start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines
