Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Diesel engine repair specialization: Fuel injection system, exhaust system, lubrication system, engine control system, major internal engine repairs or overhaul, and installation and alignment of engines and machinery
Powered equipment repair specialization: Cable-operated working attachments, hydraulic-operated working attachments, compressors, pumps, telescopic ladder, and electric generators
Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Mechanical transmissions, hydraulic transmissions, and tracked vehicle suspensions and steering

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be ready for physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods
• The candidates should possess attention to detail and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to troubleshoot, inspect equipment, and diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized testing equipment

• The candidates should be able to order parts, maintain inventory, and adjust equipment, ensuring proper performance
• The candidates should be adept at repairing or replacing defective parts, keeping maintenance reports, and following manufacturers’ specifications
• They should demonstrate proficiency in attaching components, adjusting new farm equipment, and performing various maintenance tasks
• The candidates should excel in testing repaired equipment, maintaining documentation, and cleaning and lubricating machinery
• They should be capable of performing repair work on heavy trucks and servicing attachments and working tools
