Building maintenance worker Full-time Job

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, Carpet cleaning machine, Polishing machines, Waxing machine, Power tools, Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments), and Snow blower
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Location: 2955 Virtual Way Vancouver, BC V5M 4X6
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence

 

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure
• The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently
• The candidates should be physically fit to handle demanding tasks
• The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required for the job

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate dependability in fulfilling their duties and exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances
• The candidates should show initiative in taking proactive steps to accomplish tasks and exercise good judgment in decision-making
• The candidates should be organized in managing their workload and priorities, and be reliable in meeting deadlines and commitments

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
• The candidates should be able to operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse
• The candidates should be able to wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
• The candidates should be able to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
• The candidates should be able to perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• The candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision
• The candidates should be able to clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
