JOB SUMMARY

Hospitality Services is responsible for the planning, coordinated development, management and implementation of food, nutrition and environmental activities, programs, services and initiatives to the residents of a municipal long term care facility.  

You are responsible for  the preparation and/or serving of meals to residents, day centre clients, staff, and Meals-on-Wheels recipients, and for catering during special events; for the cleaning and maintenance of Food Services equipment and utensils; and for the disposal of waste, with an emphasis on resident safety and engagement. Work is performed in accordance with Public Health regulations, Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021and Food Premises Act.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 1 year Food Service Worker program or enrolled and attending a Food Service Worker program at a College of Applied Arts and Technology with completion expected within the year.

Minimum of 6 months of experience in institution health care food service

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

Must obtain Food Handler Training and Certification within the timeframe determined by the employer

JOB SUMMARY


The mandate of the Rail Construction Program is to transform, develop, grow and sustain Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit Systems as a component of the City of Ottawa’s overall transportation and mobility strategy. 
 

You are responsible for: coordinating, overseeing and monitoring the construction works related to the Stage 2 Light Rail Transit (LRT) project within the City’s Rail Construction Program; coordinating works associated with multiple phases of the project, including early works, design, construction, demolition, rehabilitation, testing, commissioning, closeout, turnover to clients, warranty and maintenance; and supporting management staff in the decision-making process by implementing construction oversight and inspection to assess the performance, quality and progress of the Stage 2 LRT project construction works. 
 

You also: perform a key role in site coordination and communication; ensure compliance with all construction contract requirements; interface with contractors, consultants and external stakeholders; monitor, track and report on project status; perform site visits and prepare daily field inspection reports; review submittals and payment requests; and actively work to resolve issues in the field wherever possible, and escalate to management when needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


Completion of 4 year university degree in a relevant engineering discipline or applied science from an accredited university
 

Minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience on construction projects.
 

Experience on light rail construction projects is desirable

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

Valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated
