Financial Analyst - Hydrocarbon Inventory Full-time Job

We’re looking for an intermediate-level accounting professional to join our Calgary team, as we focus on strengthening our processes and adding value to our internal and external stakeholders. You’ll use the SAP Materials Management module to validate Suncor’s inventory positions at Suncor and third-party facilities, and your accounting and research skills to investigate and resolve any variances.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in accounting/finance

• Two years’ experience in accounting, settlements or crude/refined products logistics

• Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Self-starter, high energy, enthusiastic

• Strong SAP, Excel and Power BI skills, with high attention to detail

 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly reconciliations to confirm Suncor’s inventory balances at various physical locations

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand and address any differences

• Help develop and implement software solutions to improve process efficiencies

• Support the process of creating new master data to manage Suncor’s expanding logistics network

 

Location and other Key Details:

• This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
