Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years’
Type of heavy equipment operated: Backhoe excavator, loader, Bulldozer, large or small, Loader, Front end loader, Bobcats
Area of work experience: Backfilling, Demolition, Ditching, Excavation, Fine grading and finishing, Haul road maintenance, Land clearing, Landscaping, Material handling, Rough grading, Sloping and banking, Snow removal, Stock piling, Stripping, Sub-grade excavating, Trenching
Type of industry experience: Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction, Residential construction
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety vest

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Willing to travel, Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Willing to relocate

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be willing to for overtime

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to john Deere controls, operate heavy equipment, read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• The candidates should be able to calculate weight, distance, volume and length measurements, clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, operate computer controlled equipment
• The candidates should be able to utilize material safety data sheets (MSDS), complete onboard and other logs, conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
• The candidates should be able to prepare accident reports, secure special attachments to equipment, operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
• The candidates should be able to perform minor repairs to equipment, operate hydraulic pumping systems
