Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, and Trip reports
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone, and Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver’s License (Class 3 or D)
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Bondable, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), and Drug test
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Drive manual transmission vehicle, Own transportation, Own vehicle, and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Various locations
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be efficient in handling repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of a physically demanding job and willing to work overtime when required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and exhibit excellent oral communication abilities
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent written communication skills and exercise good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities, demonstrate reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments, and be team players capable of collaborating effectively with others
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques and demonstrate professionalism in customer service
- The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and be able to perform emergency roadside repairs
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, oversee all aspects of the vehicle, and perform preventive maintenance
- The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
