- Assist in the identification and reduction of Health and Safety risks and hazards.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Develops and constructs Safe Work Procedures (SWP) identifying the basic job steps and tasks and their associated hazards and risks and develops safe operating procedures and hazard controls towards sustaining our OHS maturity and growth.
- Responsible for enforcing the businesses Golden Rules and other site programs through cross functional team meetings.
- Maintain OHS metrics and documentation with the ability to present this information to applicable parties
- Design and deliver training programs for workers, management, and Safety Committee members to comply with legislative requirements and improve Health, Safety, Emergency and Security.
- Assist in the reduction of Health and Safety risks and hazards through onsite behavioral observations and targeted audits
- Support Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews (PSRs) for installation of a new equipment, structure, protective element or process, or modifications to an existing apparatus, structure, protective element, or process; such reports are to detail the measures (steps, actions, or engineering controls) necessary to bring the construction, addition, installation or modification into compliance with the applicable regulations.
- Review and monitor on-site Contractor OHS programs and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Respond to and provide support in accident response, including first aid and support proper investigation and follow up is completed.
- Support emergency management activities including drills, tabletop exercises, evacuation support and respond to support the incident command structure in the event of an actual emergency.
- Maintains content and data analysis of supporting software for the site programs under the purview of the department, including and not limited to SAP, iWarehouse, iNet, Alchemy Sistems, and other PPE or vendor specific platforms.
- Maintain records and documentation for all programs under your purview.
- Ability to ensure integrity of data and confidentiality of employee information
- Ability to support and influence multiple levels of management within an organization
What You’ll Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in progressively responsible H&S roles
- Previous experience working supporting a large client group in a fast-paced environment within specified time frames is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory training of all personnel working onsite
- Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software – MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point & Outlook
- Previous experience working with regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Labour or Ministry of the Environment would be an asset

Key Qualifications:
- A current Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Master's Degree or Certificate of Competence in the Extended Class in Primary Health Care from an educational program recognized by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current certification with no limits on ability to practice as a Nurse Practitioner/RN (EC) from the College of Nurses of Ontario.

- Delivers primary health care to residents in the Long-Term Care Home in the management of acute and chronic medical conditions, therapeutic management, health promotion and disease/injury prevention in order to deliver comprehensive health services.
- Conducts focused health assessment using and adapting assessment tools and techniques based on resident needs.
- Completes health history into resident's situation, including physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural and ethnic dimensions of health.
- Performs physical examination and identifies and interprets normal and abnormal findings.
- Orders diagnostic investigations, and interprets results using evidence-based clinical reasoning.
- Synthesizes health information using critical inquiry and clinical reasoning to formulate a diagnosis, health risks and states of health/illness.
- Communicates with residents about the health assessment findings and/or diagnosis, including outcomes and prognosis through the application of knowledge of pathophysiology, psychopathology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, behavioural sciences and family processes when making diagnoses and providing overall therapeutic management.
- Selects appropriate interventions from a range of non-pharmacological and pharmacological interventions to restore or maintain resident functional, physiological and mental stability to achieve optimal health.
- Promotes safe resident care by mitigating harm and addressing immediate risks for residents and others affected by adverse events and near misses.
- Participates with the Medical Director and other senior management staff in the development and implementation of evaluation processes and the identification of strategies to continually improve clinical outcomes and effectively manage risks.
- Collaborates with senior management in the Division and other community health services in initiatives for the development, implementation and evaluation of systems to promote continuity of resident care across the continuum.
- Ensures Accreditation Canada standards are evident in daily practice.

Key Qualifications:
