Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect inbound product according to the established SOPs.

  • Put away product in correct location based on SOPs.

  • Receive returns, count and confirm quantities, determine condition and complete paperwork (e.g., separate invoices and match to bills).

  • Obtain orders, prioritize if necessary, and select products from the proper locations.

  • Obtain and properly match up reprinted orders.

  • Verify accuracy of orders picked, including product name and size, product code, lot number, expiration date, and quantity.  Escalate concerns to Lead or Supervisor.

  • Stage and securely pack product based on SOPs.

  • Place the appropriate documentation with each order and ensure all cases are clearly labelled and accurately marked (e.g., pick/pack slips, refrigerate stickers).

  • Arrange for pick-up of shipments, contact carriers for ETA, and coordinate schedule.

  • Handle products and perform duties according to client procedures, GMP/SOP and government/compliance regulations.

  • Palletize cases, wrap, and load skids onto trailers.

  • Create shipping labels and other paperwork for parcels and LTL skid shipments (e.g., waybills, shipping manifests, shipping labels); maintain accurate shipping data in warehouse management system.

  • Stage and coordinate outbound shipments.

  • Safely operate various power equipment including, but not limited to, pallet movers, forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.

  • Use RF Scanners to electronically scan barcodes.

  • Enter inventory into warehouse management system, verify information accuracy, and perform scheduled processes (e.g., billing, reports, issue sheets) according to SOPs.

  • Conduct physical inventory or cycle counts daily, weekly and/or monthly based on SOPs.

  • Develop physical inventory plan, monitor physical inventories, identify all OS&D (over stock/shortages/damages), and report or correct any errors or discrepancies.

  • Quickly respond (via email or phone) to customer/client inquiries, resolve problems, and communicate service issues to Supervisor.

  • Compile daily and monthly client reports per SOP, including customer KPI reports.

  • Encourage safe work practices in others, point out areas where safety training and enforcement is needed, and participate on Comprehensive Health & Safety Program (CHSP) committee.

The evening Warehouse Worker position is a physical fast-paced and labor-intensive role within a warehouse environment that involves sorting/stocking packages as well as loading and unloading them into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.

Job Type: Part-Time - Permanent

Workdays: Monday to Friday

Shift Start: 5:00 PM Shift averages 3-5 hours a day. Start times/finish times may vary with operational need.  Flexibility required

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers
  • Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) without assistance
  • Full availability to work Monday to Friday (all five days of the week)
  • Must be able to work 25 hours per week legally
  • Ability to read and memorize postal codes
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

Reporting to the Shop Manager or Site Lead Hand, the Machinist has ideally 5-10 years of experience in a Machine Shop environment. The machinist cuts, shapes and finishes metal to make precision machined parts and components used in all areas of manufacturing. Additionally, the candidate can perform custom welding/fabrication and has experience in machine repair/rebuild.  

A technical diploma is preferred, while holding an Ontario Certificate of Qualification in either Machinist (429A) or Tool & Die Maker (430A). Preference will be given to candidates who also possess a Certificate of Qualification in Welding (456A) and/or Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A).  The Machinist is familiar with using production tools such as dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, MIG/TIG welding equipment, waterjet, shear and brake press. Experience working with Stainless Steel, Aluminum or specialty metals, alloys and plastics is a benefit.

The Machinist follows company policies, standards and guidelines as they apply to all activities including applying Standard Operating Procedures in his/her work.

The Machinist has strong leadership and communication skills, works well in a team environment, is responsible and is open to change. The person is results oriented and quality driven.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Reads and interprets mechanical drawings, tooling drawings and work-process documentation.
  • Builds precision dies, tools and prototypes using conventional and numerically controlled metal-cutting and forming machines and other equipment including saws, drills, grinders, lathes, mills, die presses and electrical discharge machines.
  • Competent in work piece measurement using specialized and precision tools and equipment.
  • Welding techniques required, including: TIG/MIG, Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and stick welding.
  • Experience with CNC Lathe/Milling machines, Shear and Punching machines, Waterjet cutting machine and Brake Press set up and operation.
  • Machine and fabricate parts to close tolerance .0005” in a cost-effective manner.
  • Able to multitask and work under direction of the shop manager and shop lead hand.
  • Responsible for post and completed Work Order quality reviews.
  • Perform PM and Fabrication work in accordance with procedures or oral instruction.
  • Account for inventory usage and labour on the shop work order system.
  • Welding repairs and/or fabrication need to be carried out to Food Safety standards.
  • Communicate daily repair activity with Shop Manager or site Lead Hand.  
  • Fulfill all Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, WHIMS and MSDS policy requirements.
  • Fulfill mechanical requirements of work order programs c/w requesting assistance where necessary.
  • As part of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities apprenticeship program, train and mentor apprentice employees as required.
  • Mechanical abilities and trouble shooting skills may be needed for breakdown analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to wear proper PPE and comply with safety requirements.
  • Lifting up to 60 lbs, bending and reaching.
  • Pushing, pulling, and overhead reaching.

Warehouse Associate II impacts the organization by meeting specific operational key performance indicators. This experienced employee has a general knowledge of warehousing terminology and practices. This position is responsible for warehouse functions including, but not limited to, unloading, sorting, picking, kitting, packing, shipping and cycle counts and may be responsible for multiple accounts. The person in this position may use PC-based warehouse management systems to track packages, confirm shipments, print labels and perform inventory counts. The Warehouse Associate II may use RF Scanners, carts, pallet jacks and/or forklifts. This employee may have direct customer and vendor contact and works under supervision by the Warehouse Lead or Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect inbound product according to the established SOPs.

  • Put away product in correct location based on SOPs.

  • Receive returns, count and confirm quantities, determine condition and complete paperwork (e.g., separate invoices and match to bills).

  • Obtain orders, prioritize if necessary, and select products from the proper locations.

  • Obtain and properly match up reprinted orders.

  • Verify accuracy of orders picked, including product name and size, product code, lot number, expiration date, and quantity.  Escalate concerns to Lead or Supervisor.

  • Stage and securely pack product based on SOPs.

  • Place the appropriate documentation with each order and ensure all cases are clearly labelled and accurately marked (e.g., pick/pack slips, refrigerate stickers).

  • Arrange for pick-up of shipments, contact carriers for ETA, and coordinate schedule.

  • Handle products and perform duties according to client procedures, GMP/SOP and government/compliance regulations.

  • Palletize cases, wrap, and load skids onto trailers.

  • Create shipping labels and other paperwork for parcels and LTL skid shipments (e.g., waybills, shipping manifests, shipping labels); maintain accurate shipping data in warehouse management system.

  • Stage and coordinate outbound shipments.

  • Safely operate various power equipment including, but not limited to, pallet movers, forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.

  • Use RF Scanners to electronically scan barcodes.

  • Enter inventory into warehouse management system, verify information accuracy, and perform scheduled processes (e.g., billing, reports, issue sheets) according to SOPs.

  • Conduct physical inventory or cycle counts daily, weekly and/or monthly based on SOPs.

  • Develop physical inventory plan, monitor physical inventories, identify all OS&D (over stock/shortages/damages), and report or correct any errors or discrepancies.

  • Quickly respond (via email or phone) to customer/client inquiries, resolve problems, and communicate service issues to Supervisor.

  • Compile daily and monthly client reports per SOP, including customer KPI reports.
