- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements for new projects or system enhancements.
- Analyze and document current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical solutions.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful implementation and integration of systems and applications.
- Conduct thorough testing of new systems and enhancements, ensuring they meet business requirements and are free of defects.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new systems.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- 5-6 years of work experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience in documenting business processes, requirements, and system specifications.
- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and project management methodologies.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data analysis techniques is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in business analysis or related fields are advantageous.

What is the opportunity?
The Director will head the Canadian FICC Advisory team and be responsible for providing leadership in the implementation and maintenance, within the context of RBC’s Enterprise Compliance Management Framework, of compliance programs and controls across the Global Markets business, within RBC’s Capital Markets (CM) businesses in Canada. Product coverage includes FICC (fixed Income, listed/OTC derivatives, commodities, FX), I&TS execution desks in CM and Central Funding.
What will you do?
- Act as the Rates subject matter expert - providing transactional advice and guidance, as required
- Head up and Partner with the business to implement appropriate controls designed to detect and mitigate compliance and regulatory issues and to achieve effective management of the compliance program within the Global Markets business
- Manage the rule universe, control mapping (Tier 1,2) and trigger event analysis as part of OSFI E13 requirements for Regulatory Compliance Management
- Develop and maintain up-to-date policies and procedures and control processes to address the identified risks
- Together with the Director, Surveillance, ensure that RBC Dominion Securities has an effective monitoring program
- Schedule recurring and ad hoc meeting with Desk Heads and Business Heads to provide compliance updates and escalate risks and compliance issues, as required
- Prepare and deliver in-person training and guidance on emerging regulatory developments/issues
- Lead projects as assigned by the business, CM Compliance, Legal
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 7+ years of compliance experience in a financial institution, including a broker-dealer (ideally within a financial conglomerate) and/or Capital Markets, regulator and/or other comparable environment
- Proficient and expertise across FICC businesses
- Leadership experience and a proven track-record of success in managing a successful group
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook Exam
- Strong communication and presentation skills in a group setting
- A University degree (Finance, Economics, related)

What is the opportunity?
The opportunity is to support the Pricing Team in Terms Investments and Savings area that is responsible for rates management as well as leading the acquisition and retention strategy for the product suite. Our team has a significant impact on the bank’s profitability, market share and client growth results. We work closely with stakeholders across P&CB and the broader organization providing not only strategic direction but also leading execution of annual campaign calendar, performing deep dive analytics (internal and external) as well as managing the Pricing Exception Desk.
For the successful candidate this is a great learning experience to work with a knowledgeable and supportive team that strongly believes in succeeding together. You will not only have an insight into the dynamic world of deposit pricing but also the opportunity to be involved in client centric impact driven deliverables.
What will you do?
- Work on the Pricing Exception Desk to review and approve pricing requests received from the distribution team, advisors and clients.
- Partner with team members in responding to questions/concerns about daily pricing exception requests.
- Perform ongoing reporting on the competitive landscape and assess overall profitability of GIC transactions.
- Participate in regular team meetings to not only learn about various initiatives but provide feedback on how to do things better and more effectively.
- Provide support in adhoc analysis and reporting based on emerging trends/business needs.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program
- Ability to effectively collaborate with others in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail and time management is critical.
- Strong written/oral communication skills to develop and convey thoughtful and insightful explanations.
- Aptitude for collecting and organizing information.
- Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skillset.
Nice to have - Previous exposure to financial services industry.
