  • Work with team of engineers to lead the development of derivatives trading and derivatives valuation applications
  • Work with diverse set of technologies to implement new systems, or enhancements of existing implementations, and ensure sound integration with surrounding components from end-to-end operational perspective.
  • Design sound solutions that meet the enhanced and new business needs.
  • Ensure that delivery meets the integrity, quality, performance and reliability requirements by building automated testing and regression suites and use of DevOps principles.
  • You will be responsible for the design, architecture and final delivery of the solution with an emphasis on system scalability, availability and pragmatism. Hands-on coding is expected - active contribution to the code base as well as code reviews and walkthroughs. 
  • Focus on building out digital experiences for Capital Market systems using industry standard technologies and best practices.
  • Write well designed testing suites for end-to-end testing of business flows.
  • Incorporate modern technologies and practices to reduce operational cost and improve security, availability, reliability of overall business systems

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Java and related framework i.e. (including Java 8 features -Function, Generics, Threads, Collections, Future, Java Frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, etc., Proficient in Server-side Java programming and understanding of Java Memory Model, Transaction management, parallel processing)
  • Experience working with SQL/PL (Oracle) – 5+ years of hands-on experience
  • 4+ years’ experience in developing, deploying and maintaining large scale applications with complex integration
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team a team of Full-stack developers
  • 2+ years of experience working with fluency on Linux environment with Linux command line
  • Good understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns, micro services architecture and high performance, and multi-threading techniques

As an Mainframe developer, you will work standard and additional overtime hours to meet project deadlines and provide 7x24 production support on a rotation basis.  Provide analysis and coding support for host/mainframe applications and infrastructure implementations.  Must be fluent in English, oral and written, with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to understand, document and share key system information with their colleagues, support groups, other technical staff, business partners and management.

  • Experience in host/mainframe development (COBOL, JCL, CA7, SAS, CICS)
  • Have work experience with ACF, Endevor, DB2 and IMS
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and is capable of multi-tasking and managing concurrent tasks and initiatives.                                                        
  • Must be reliable, pro-active, results-oriented, customer-focused, attentive to details, and a team player.    
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can build and foster relationships with team members and peers.                                                                        
  • Experience in the financial industry with some host development experience.
  • Innovative approaches to developing process improvements and solutions; ability to convey and promote these ideas.
  • Working experience with systems development methodologies and software development technologies, concepts and lifecycle.
  • Worked in Agile lab or used Agile framework.
  • Experience in Java, Azure is an asset
