Security Guard Full-time Job

We are seeking Security guards for some positions at data centres across the GTA. We are looking for individuals with a high level of customer service and security experience. Priority to those with a strong customer service background.

Position Overview:

Wages: $25.00/hr 

Positions Available:

Richmond Hill (Leslie and Major Mackenzie):

FT Permanent 7:00AM-3:00PM Monday to Friday

PT Permanent 3:00PM-11:00PM Saturday and Sunday

Etobicoke: (Humberline and Finch):

FT Permanent 3:00PM-11:00PM

Vaughan (Weston and Steeles):

FT Permanent 3:00PM-11:00PM Monday to Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform access control provision duties, verify visitors coming on-site.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons.
• Screen client employees and contractors with handheld wand metal detection devices.
• Be on call when a shift needs coverage sometimes on short notice.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• 3 years of security experience or 5 years of customer service experience with direct customer facing experience.
• Eligibility for reliability clearances required for data centre positions.
