Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Provincial/territorial, Regional, and Short-haul

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) with care and precision

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should display flexibility in adapting to various situations and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making
• The candidates should be organized in managing tasks and priorities and be reliable in fulfilling their responsibilities
• The candidates should be effective team players, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods, perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
• The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance, receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption, and tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
