Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system
Credentials: Food and beverage server trade certificate, Food and Beverage Server Training, Food Safety Certificate, Serving It Safe program certification
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Location: Watson Lake, YT
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation

Supervision: No supervision responsibility

 

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary for the role, and able to handle heavy loads as part of their duties, including loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• The candidates should also be able to stand for extended periods, if required, and have experience with weight handling, including loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to ensure they are of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques, or room billings, and describe menu items including daily specials for customers
• The candidates should be able to enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
• The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, provide customer service, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
