Cameco is looking for an organized administrative professional to support the strategic projects group in the technical services department. Supporting the Director, Strategic Projects, and as a core member of the Strategic Projects team you will play a critical role in assisting and supporting many functions within the team, such as, executive level reporting to key stakeholders and coordination and scheduling of activities. Your experience, strong organizational and people skills, technical aptitude and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will help you be successful in this role.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Monitor and track the overdue reviews of engineering packages to keep projects moving in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Be responsible for supporting the assembling, preparation, and refinement of high-quality internal reporting to key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Manage department administrative activities which includes arranging business travel, calendar management, reconciling business expenses, meeting arrangements, ordering office supplies, processing mail, and system access requests.
  • Be responsible for department expense reports which includes processing requisitions, reconciliation of invoices and reporting as well as budget submission assistance and tracking.
  • Provide technical assistance with equipment and logistics, reporting, document creation/file management, both manual and electronic, as well as other general administrative duties.
  • Work with a number of systems including SAP/S4 and the document management system (SharePoint).
     

Required:  

 

  • Two-year business administrative diploma
  • A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in a corporate environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word) and Nitro Pro
  • Strong inclination for technology and ability to learn systems quickly
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate information effectively to various stakeholders
