Your Contribution
As an Electrical technologist (0 – 2 years experience) , you will work in collaboration with the Electrical team in our Saskatoon office
As a successful candidate you will be accountable to the Senior Electrical Engineer and support the development and delivery of building projects during all stages of the project.
- Can prepare drawing sets with guidance and supervision
- Understands basic design procedures and can generate a technical design with guidance and supervision
- Acts according to standardized design and drafting procedures
- Can draft contract documents in a fast and accurate manner
- Capable of sizing or selecting equipment with guidance
- Demonstrates awareness of professional accountability
- Understands the role of regulatory bodies on the practice of engineering
- Demonstrates awareness of the relationship between the engineering activity and the public / other disciplines
- Demonstrates importance of project budget during design and construction
- Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules
Your Profile
- Certificate in electrical / architectural drafting technology from an accredited Canadian technical college or institute, or equivalent work experience, with an emphasis on facility design and/or building science
- A comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
- A comprehensive working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, energetic, and action-oriented
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work individually and as a team member, within a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Effectively manages a variety of projects and/or initiatives, often occurring simultaneously
- Able to balance work and personal requirements
- Enjoys working in a professional office environment, and can work outside of normal business hours, when necessary
