Job Summary
This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. He/She may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks. This position performs other tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Cleans trucks during or after operations
• Learns and properly executes UPS package handling methods
• Loads and unloads UPS packages into trailers or package cars
• Repositions vehicles according to the established dock plan
• Scans packages using the correct equipment
• Sorts packages according to the defined processes

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./32 kgs
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, 5 days per week
• Shifts may start or end hours earlier depending on package volume
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
• Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
• No experience required

Part Time PM Evening Shift:

• Monday to Friday (5 days a week - No Weekends!)
• Shift start time is 5:00pm
• Shift finish time between 8:30pm - 10:00pm (approx.) depending on package volume
• Flexibility needed with start and finish times. Shifts can extend longer during high package volume during peak holiday season

About the Opportunity

• Processing all dishware and maintaining sanitation of dish machine, kitchen aide and dish sinks according to established cleaning guidelines; 
• Returning clean dishware to appropriate storage areas for use by Culinary Services employees;
• Bussing of tables in the dining rooms and catering areas as required;
• Maintaining cleanliness to standard in the kitchen and kitchen aide areas

About You

• You have completed High School or your GED.
• You can work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays. 
• CPR & Emergency First Aid Certification and/or Basics Food Safety Training/ Food Handler's Course would be considered an asset.
• Previous experience working with seniors in a Retirement Living or Long-Term Care environment would be considered an asset.

• Analyze and interpret insurance policy wordings to determine coverage and assess entitlements which are fair and equitable
• Identify eligibility and/or entitlement ensuring quick access to all available benefits to promote treatment and recovery.
• Manage claims while abiding by current provincial regulations and guidelines as well as company protocols and procedures.
• Answer queries from customers, legal representatives and medical clinics while providing high quality customer service and communicating in a timely and respectful manner.
• Conduct investigations and identify additional information such as independent medical examinations, customer medical or employment history required to clarify and/or justify a claim
• Collaborate with colleagues in a Hybrid environment - required to be in the office 3 days a week during probationary period.

What you bring to the table:

• Customer service experience with a combination of university, college, and relevant experience and/or training in medical, legal or insurance.

• The ability to multi-task with system tools, phones, MS Office and typing skills is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and organized.
• Bilingualism in French and English
• Must be eligible to obtain licensing through the Insurance Institute of Canada and willing to work toward Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
