PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position performs HR analytics, and manages a portfolio of HR dashboards. It involves collecting and understanding reporting requirements of HR leadership, and working closely with IS teams, business stakeholders, and other HR teams to design and create impactful reports and analytics using tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc. The role requires high attention to detail to maintain integrity of data and associated reports, reviewing output for consistent quality and developing descriptive narratives of analytics findings.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for regular HR reporting and analytics, including headcount, vacancies, job changes, and turnover, along with managing organization charts and forecasting
- Audits HRIS system data for accuracy and completeness
- Generates reports for HR initiatives such as diversity and new hires, and creates high-quality dashboards for leadership
- The position ensures documentation compliance with CPKC policies and regulations, and advocates for process efficiencies
- Work in close collaboration with IS teams, stakeholders, and leadership to meet reporting requirements and support strategic HR analysis
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of HR reporting and analytics experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), data visualization and wrangling
- Proficiency in SQL. Experience with dashboard tools like Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, or SAP Analytics Cloud; preferred
- Experience reporting from SAP or SuccessFactors; preferred
