Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Mandarin, Cantonese
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Shifts: Day, Night, Overtime, Flexible Hours, To be determined
Transportation information: Willing to travel, Travel expenses paid by the employer
Work setting: Remote location, On-site customer service, Staff accommodation available
Type of guide: Escorted group travel guide, Escorted individual travel guide, Step-on local guide, Meet and greet local guide, On-site local guide
Tours focus: Historical sites, Sightseeing, Boat tours, Bus tours
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive taskers
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work outdoors
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, dependable, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to confirm transportation and accommodation reservations, co-ordinate recreation activities
- The candidates should be able to describe points of interest, resolve itinerary and other problems
- The candidates should be able to ensure and monitor luggage transfers, attend to hotel, airport, train, and other check-in and check-out procedures
- The candidates should be able to develop and deliver commentaries, utilize microphones or other communication devices
- The candidates should be able to coordinate activities with local tour guides or leaders of performance groups, assist clients/guests with special needs
- The candidates should be able to conduct guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions, and historical, heritage, and other sites, answer inquiries and provide information
- The candidates should be able to transport or escort individuals or groups on tours of cities, waterways, and industrial and other establishments
