Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook
Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should possess a strong attention to detail, demonstrating precision and thoroughness in tasks
• The candidates should be comfortable with tasks that involve sitting, showcasing adaptability to a sedentary work environment

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should exercise good judgment, making sound decisions aligned with organizational goals and values
• The candidates should be organized, demonstrating the ability to structure and manage tasks efficiently
• The candidates should exhibit reliability, consistently meeting job expectations and deadlines
• The candidates should be team players, fostering effective collaboration and communication within a group setting

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods, perform brake adjustments, and perform emergency roadside repairs
• The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, as well as perform preventive maintenance
• The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, and handle tasks such as tarping to ensure the safety and security of cargo
