Flexibility for our team is key, so with that in mind, we have our teams on a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 3 days off cycling between Monday-Saturday. Sundays are rest days for everyone!

Responsibilities:

• The candidate should have a driver’s validity license check done.
• The candidate will be required to drive a truck.
• The candidate will be required to have Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).
• The candidate will be required to have Air Brakes Endorsement.
• The candidate will be required to receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate will be required to receive payments for goods.
• The candidate will be required to load and unload goods.
• The candidate will be required to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• The candidate should look after tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
• The candidate will be required to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• The candidate will be required to record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• The candidate will be required to arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations.
• The candidate will be required to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
• The candidate will be required to have documentation knowledge on the Driver logbook.
• The candidate will be required to have documentation knowledge on the Bill of lading.
• The candidate will be required to have professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate will be required to have local transportation experience.

Position Summary:
To transport freight to and from stations and hub facilities and/or pickup and delivery of large skidded freight and/or multiple piece skidded shipments in a safe and responsible manner and with a sense of urgency. Responsibilities also include the regular operation of power material handling equipment for proper loading, weight balancing and sequencing of unit loading devices.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma
• Twelve (12) months heavy vehicle driving experience preferred
• Class AZ (Class 1) driver's license with good driving record required
• Ability to operate manual transmission required
• Air brake certification required
• Customer service skills
• Ability to multitask
• Organizational skills, especially on the road
• Analytical ability
• Must be able to communicate effectively between hub, station facility management, and dispatch
• Must be receptive and adaptable to change

Shift: Tues-Thurs 15:30-0230am heading to SEA, 4th day may vary depending on operational needs between Fri-Sun.
