QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (Robot and Automation Program) and/or Provincial Electricians Ticket (442A or 309A) or equivalent
• 5+ Years of Automation Technician experience
• Previous experience with automated paint, production and process equipment preferred

Overview of the role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical and PLC systems in the plant.

Schedule: 12 hour Rotation – 6 – 6 Weekdays, days, nights and Weekends

Salary: $ 46.27/ hour + Trade Premium $1/hour, Shift Premium for hours worked from 6pm – 6am of $1.20/hour

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematic and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Electrician with a journeyperson ticket/license or certificate of qualification

• Excited and willing to work day & night shift (6 - 6) including weekends

• Proven hands-on experience within food industry or high-speed packaging plant (preferred)

• Electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience

• Able to work collaboratively with all departments

• Highly motivated initiator, able to work independently with minimum supervision

• Effective communication skills, able to complete computer-based workorders

Minimum Requirements:

• 5 or more years of planning and/or scheduling experience with equivalent technical and operational experience in the industry

• Electrical and/or Instrumentation trade certificate, diploma or degree

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP) and material management systems

About this opportunity:

Reporting to the Coordinator, PDO, the Plant Operator will effectively participate in the operation of a SAGD facility. The operator is trained and competent in the operation of one or more areas of the process facility.
