The Team 
The Group Treasury Technology team provides development and support services for Group Treasury (including Structural Interest Rate Risk management, Asset/Liability Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, Match Maturity, Budgeting and Planning) and Global Risk Management (Global Retail Credit Risk, Trade Floor Risk Management).

The Role 
The Software Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions to support the Group Treasury business with a focus on automating existing manual processes, reducing the likelihood for human errors and improving operational processes. You will be required to participate in multiple projects, including technical design, use cases, and process workflow of complex business processes for internal clients. You must possess the ability to work with a team of technology focused peers and the ability to juggle multiple/concurrent tasks. Some of the key accountabilities include:
Provide technology collaboration and be the ambassador for Automation across Group Treasury Technology.
Participate in aspects of a systems development life cycle within the development team (Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Test, QA, Implementation and Support)
Be the Point of Contact for escalation on service operation including service availability and continuality
Analyze data in operational database environments including SQL Server
Optimizing and simplifying existing code and perform code reviews

What You Will Bring to Succeed 

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.

The Team

Reporting to the Supply Chain Project Engineering Manager, Supply Chain Project Engineers play a critical role in both the growth and sustainment of supply chain distribution projects. They are responsible for overseeing technical requirements and supporting projects with ATOS/MHE procurement and execution, ensuring successful program/project delivery.
Reporting to the Supply Projects Engineering Manager, this position will be an integral part of the engineering team to ensure continuous improvements within our operation. 1. Project Management. Responsible for management of all aspects of building construction from start to finish including renovations and accommodations planning. 2. Leadership.  Determines staff resource requirements, financial and operational plans. Responsible for all related labour relation issues including recruitment, hiring, training, performance appraisal, professional development and discipline up to and including dismissal to ensure skilled and competent resources. Continually evaluates the operation and service plan to ensure appropriate allocation of resources and makes recommendations for improvement. Ensures that projects are regularly and accurately updated on cost control financial tracker.  Ensures budget control is in place for all projects and monitors during all phases. Ensures all projects are completed on time and on budget. Oversees the preparation of all policies and procedures e.g. tender documents, council reports etc. 
4. Reporting. Develops and implements project control systems, cost evaluation methodologies, performance evaluation criteria for consultant selection in accordance with approved Corporate policies and guidelines. Prepares reports for Council and various Committees. Oversees the preparation of documents to award and amend purchase orders and contracts. Ensures status of all projects is communicated according to project methodology and City protocol. Attends meetings to present report as required e.g. Council, and various Committees. • 5 years’ experience managing professional staff, consultants, construction firms, general contractors, leading project teams, project development, state of good repair, renovation and multi-phased major building projects, preferably in the public sector. • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach and coordinate related activities of staff and contracted professionals.

The Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Supervisor is responsible for safeguarding UPS assets, including buildings, equipment, and grounds, while ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and labor regulations.

This role involves overseeing facility maintenance, housekeeping, and conveyor system reliability. This includes the oversight and management of both unionized and non-unionized employees who will directly report to them.

The BaSE Supervisor also manages construction projects, ensures adherence to UPS building standards, and provides technical and regulatory expertise across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance & Compliance:

• Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and labor compliance across automated hub
• Ensure adherence to UPS Hazardous Materials Procedures and international/national regulations for transporting regulated goods (e.g., hazardous materials, tobacco, alcohol)
• Conduct audits, facilitate Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and deliver employee training on compliance requirements
• Ensure regularly scheduled maintenance is completed timely and effectively, and all deficiencies are corrected
• Oversee invoicing and manage costs for planned and emergency maintenance

Environmental & Safety Compliance:

• Monitor district-level environmental and safety compliance for automated hub
• Review facility regulations, perform audits, and analyze trends to address compliance issues

Conveyor Reliability:

• Manage mechanic dispatch for scheduled maintenance as well as emergency repairs
• Maintain an accurate record of the facilities inventory through CMMS
• Provide hands-on and remote support for conveyor or equipment related breakdowns and issues that arise during operations.
• Generate reports outlining overall system effectiveness and reliability

Technical Support:

• Provide guidance to Plant Engineering Information Systems (PEIS) personnel and users.
• Maintain and update documentation for UPS building standards and specifications.

Construction Project Management:

• Manage low to moderately complex construction projects, such as conveyor installations and facility modifications.
• Ensure projects adhere to contract documentation, timelines, and cost control measures.
• Provide drafting and web support services for construction documentation.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of facility maintenance and conveyor systems.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in software and hardware development and deployment.
• Experience managing construction projects and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Exposure to/Understanding of Automation in some regards, preferably in relation to conveyance, sortation, and building systems

Additional Skills:

• Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations at the district level.
• Experience with drafting, designing layouts, and maintaining technical documentation.
