Your mission in the team:
Under the supervision of the HR manager, the incumbent advises management staff on activities related to human resources, labor relations, disability management and the application of various programs and policies.
Your responsibilities as a Human Resources Advisor:
- Provides coaching and training to managers on all internal processes related to employee management and/or the collective agreement. In this capacity, he/she advises and provides support and expertise to managers on the interpretation of the collective agreement and applicable laws.
- Manages disciplinary and administrative aspects in collaboration with distribution managers.
- Supports managers during the investigation, analysis of the various files, the conduct of meetings and the drafting of the various correspondence and measures required, etc.
- Ensures the complete management of grievances and participates in the various joint committees (grievance committee, labor relations committee, etc.).

- Manages complaints of psychological harassment in collaboration with managers.
- Creates and maintains relationships with the union party in order to maintain harmonious working relations.
- Supports managers in change management and communications within the framework of major projects related to the distribution center and participates in working committees.
- Completely manages disability files (illness, SAAQ, IVAC) and coordinates employees’ requests for parental leave and union members’ unpaid leave.
- Answers employees' human resources questions and redirects them to the appropriate resource persons as needed.
- Contributes to the optimization of the various processes under his responsibility with a view to improving their efficiency.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of departmental performance indicators.
- Performs all other related tasks.
The qualifications we are looking for:
- Hold a university degree such as a bachelor's degree in industrial relations, human resources or its equivalent.
- Have between three (3) and five (5) years of experience in labor relations or human resources.
- Having professional experience in a unionized environment is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the SAP system is an asset.

As part of the digital transformation of human resources, the main mandate of the incumbent will be to work with HR stakeholders to optimize HR processes across the organization. The role
- HR operational efficiency assessment: In collaboration with HR stakeholders, identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within existing HR operations. Assess current processes and lead fit-gap sessions.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as a business partner to assigned client groups

- Investigates and resolves employee relations matters. Consults with internal or external legal counsel where required

- Collaborates with People and Culture Consulting team members and other relevant stakeholders to support the execution of strategies, programs and initiatives to drive organizational changes
- Partners with assigned client groups to diagnose People and Culture management-related issues, understand and anticipate needs. Recommends solutions in alignment with business requirements and collaborates to implement
- Provides recommendations, develops and implements solutions to assist the client groups and the organization in achieving improvements in areas including but not limited to employee engagement and satisfaction, recruitment, leadership and career development
- Collaborates with People and Culture Consulting team and other relevant stakeholders in the review, refinement and/or development of People and Culture management programs, policies, processes and resources. Prepares policies and processes of low to high complexity for review
- Collaborates with People and Culture Consulting team and other relevant stakeholders in the development and/or customization of training materials. Leads and facilitates training sessions for assigned client groups and to the broader organization
- Leads recruitment efforts for assigned client groups. Develops and maintains a robust talent pipeline using various sources including but not limited to social media and participation in networking events. Identifies, recommends and implements recruitment channels, tools and resources
- Leads, supports and participates in People and Culture-related projects and initiatives
- Acts as the People and Culture lead for client transitions or account demobilization for assigned client groups

Knowledge & Skills
- Community college or university degree preferably in business administration or Human Resources
- More than five years of work experience in a human resources generalist role
- Thorough and expert level knowledge of human resources management-related legislations such as the Employment Standards Act applicable to assigned province(s). General understanding and knowledge of human resources management disciplines including but not limited to compensation, pension and benefits, labor relations, training

Major Accountabilities
Ongoing responsibilities includes the following:
Talent Management:
- Understand the talent capabilities and gaps for the client populations
- Support the management team by providing a framework, process and tools to identify high potential candidates and facilitate succession planning and development.
- Continuously assess employee engagement through annual surveys and periodic pulse surveys. Partner with managers and functional leaders to read out engagement survey results and address growth areas
- Work with Learning and Development Manager to deliver training content that supports development programs and meet organizational and employee needs
Performance Management:
- Promote and explain the Performance Management Processes to managers and employees
