The Sr. ETL Engineer is responsible for design and development of ETL solutions to integrate with our Salesforce platform for complex business and technology initiatives. Along with providing thought leadership, navigating us through production issues and investigations, and being a key advocate of efficiency and continual improvement as we work to modernize.

Analyze and estimate effort for new scope and requirements

Design and development ETL solutions on multiple complex initiatives.

Stay abreast of modern technologies and best practices, and recommend introduction of new technology and processes

Act as the Subject Matter Expert and manage admin functions for ETL and Talend

Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes; utilize internal defect tracking tool to create detailed, high quality error report
-
Work with product owners and test engineers to support QA processes, review test plans, test coverage and help improve test automation
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

Minimum 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems
-
Minimum 5+ years hands-on Talend development experience
-
Knowledge of cloud integration with ETL.

Knowledge of deployment processes and release pipelines. Eg : Jenkins, Bitbucket/Git

Unix/AIX script experience
-
ETL tool experience with Talend
-
Data modeling and mapping
-
Performance tuning and optimization
-
SQL and database programming (Preferably DB2)

Version control systems

What will you do?
• Work on internal facing applications targeted towards developers across the organization.
• Build and configure pipelines that would help app teams build and deploy cloud native apps.
• Help design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve app services.
• Integrate with third party APIs and create scalable apps.
• Partner with other teams to understand user needs and contribute to delivering solutions to solve complex business problems.
• Create and maintain technical systems documentation and write concise, well-organized code and sensible tests.
• Implement end to end monitoring.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
• 3+ years experience working with DevOps principals, CI/CD tools i.e. Github actions, Jenkins, Circle CI and building custom pipelines etc.
• Experience working with docker and Kubernetes (Azure, OpenShift/AWS).
• 3+ years of development experience with object-oriented programming(java/groovy/python), micro services architecture, Spring Framework, Maven, etc.
• Hands on experience designing, developing, testing and troubleshooting REST APIs
• Experience with multi-threading, scaling, concurrency, caching, queuing, and distributed data storage
• Experience with message brokers (Rabbitmq, Kafka etc.), SQL(Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Mongodb, Elastic etc.) Nice to have:
• Experience with a public cloud platform i.e. Azure, AWS
• Experience working with Github actions and workflow development.
• Experience with AI to implement self healing pipelines & leveraging AI tools/LLM’s to create AI Testing as part of the pipeline.
