• Operates an onsite utility vehicle to conduct extensive patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.

• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Valid provincial Security Guard Certificate or License (preferred)
• Full class 5 driver’s license

We are looking for an OHS worker to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site. He will ensure that contractors comply with site regulations during the execution of their work.
Having knowledge of health and safety is an asset for the position. Specific training will be provided on site. His main role will be to be informed of current and upcoming work, welcome the various contractors, supervise compliance with health and safety regulations during the execution of the work. Notify in the event of non-compliance, report relevant information to the immediate superior in detail. Documentation, analysis, research, inspection, etc. He will also be called upon to respond to various emergency calls for fire/medical/spill/dangerous situations (emergency measures training offered on site).

Working hours

• Friday (4am), Saturday (12pm, 6am-6pm), Sunday (12pm, 6am-6pm) and Monday (4am)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with contractors;

As a Security Investigator reporting to the Security Lead, you will monitor, direct and report on all aspects of security operations, planning, compliance, systems and procedure development at both Horizon and Albian Oil Sands sites. You will provide security project management services to Canadian Natural business units to assist with the continuous improvement of site security programs and services.

Key Accountabilities:

• Conduct all investigations into criminal activities and security related incidents including motor vehicle incidents to identify vulnerabilities and strategies to mitigate

This position provides security oversight to the client Datacenter. Responsibilities include access control, escalations, loss prevention, incident response, and reporting safety and security incidents. The successful candidate will use strong customer service skills and the ability to facilitate effective communication internally and externally to perform the job. They will respond to email, triage issues, and direct them to the proper authority for resolution. They also assist in the timely completion of reports. They perform administrative and miscellaneous duties as directed by management and serve as the shift supervisor for local personnel, as required.

Pay Rate: $31.00/HR.

Shifts: Monday to Friday 1500-2300hrs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Monitors physical security operations at the client Datacenter. 
2. Monitors cameras and access control systems covering data calls and entry/exit doors. 
3. Dispatches appropriate personnel, as necessary. 
4. Maintains logs and records in accordance with the Datacenter Standard Operations Procedure (SOP). 
5. Identifies and escalates issues in accordance with documented policies and procedures. 
6. Reviews all reports written during shift. 
7. Ensures all scheduled posts are filled. 
8. Briefs oncoming Supervisor/Team about incidents during shift or in progress.
9. Maintains documentation and follows standardized procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits. 
10. Collects complete information for detailed report and appropriate follow-up. Prepares well written reports and maintains strict distribution to “need to know” parties. 
11. Cross-training will be provided for all site-based roles, enabling you to step in for other position coverage and offer relief breaks to guards, when required by operational needs.
12. Prepares written and electronic logs and reports as required for the site while entering information in appropriate computer systems. 
13. Read and comprehends standard operations procedures, post orders, reports, and other printed materials. 
14. Performs additional tasks assigned by management. 
15. Conduct training with the staff on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
16. Conduct drills, and Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) review
17. Conducts foot patrols (for long periods of time or up to 12 miles of distance. It may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain) completing patrol checklists.
18. Assist STM with regards to scheduling, covering any open shifts.
19. Identifies security shortfalls and offers suggestions from improving the security program. 
20. Evaluates and escalates potential safety issues within the facility. 
21. Required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. Notify supervisor upon becoming aware of unsafe working conditions.

MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS:

We are seeking a Bilingual Site Supervisor who will be directly in charge of Security guards at assigned client site. Observes and reports activities and incidents, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Performs duties of Security Guard within scope of assignment. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides lead direction at assigned client site on assigned shift; acts to ensure that post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that adequate reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations. 
• May counsel and discipline personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meets personally with employees and documents counseling and disciplinary actions. 
• Assists in the training of Security Guards and review of post orders. 
• Assists in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.
• In conjunction with company management or designated company representatives acts to ensure adequate security coverage of all posts. 
• Prepares, files and submits various reports as required. 
• Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities. 
• Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service.

Position Overview:

Wages: $ 18.25 an hour.

Shift timings: Mon - Fri (3pm to 11pm) 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform access control provision duties, verify visitors coming on-site and parking enforcement. Dispatch duties via radio communication accepting all radio calls.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons.
• Investigate incidents of trespassers along fence perimeters and property. Deter trespassers from the property.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
