Englobe is looking for a Senior or Intermediate Structural Engineer for a full-time two weeks on, two weeks off, rotational position on a long-term project being delivered within the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. You will live in a company house, drive a company vehicle, and have all expenses paid, including your flight and a per-diem allowance. The ideal candidate can sit anywhere in Canada. Responsibilities

• Perform structural condition assessments in an operating industrial plant.
• Prepare reports in collaboration with the lead Structural Engineer and Project Manager.
• Perform design and analysis of structural steel and concrete elements.
• Provide design sketches, and coordinate work with draftspersons and other engineering departments.
• Generate deliverable documentation (i.e.. drawings and specifications) for structural projects.
• Regularly review shop drawings, answer RFI’s and develop design solutions and modifications when warranted by site conditions.
• Provide clear and concise reporting to supervisors.
• Execute projects in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
• Provide feedback and innovative ideas.
• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s Degree considered a strong asset) with a specialty in structural engineering.
• Professional engineer with 5+ years of relevant structural design experience.
• Working knowledge and professional application of Canadian design codes and standards.
• Experience in designing with steel and concrete.
• Experience in consulting engineering is an asset.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision in an industrial plant setting, while representing the company on site.
• Must be able to complete 2 weeks on/off rotational schedule.
• Registration, or eligibility for immediate registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL).

Purpose

The Principal Platform Engineer within GBME(Global Banking Markets & Engineering) Platform Engineering oversees the successful delivery of business strategies, plans and initiatives that are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Accountabilities

• Responsible for driving the direction GBME Platform Engineering, assisting management and other senior technical leaders create strategic roadmaps, and driving priorities to meet various objectives
• Manages GBME Platform Engineering, DevOps Team, overseeing workload distribution, strategy and overall delivery.
• Collaborates and makes proposals across several teams on their engineering work, and helps their team members make informed decisions in alignment with the sub-department strategic plans.
• Proactively identifies opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and product features. Avoids duplication of effort by encouraging collaboration.
• Implement and deliver ongoing strategy to allow successful adoption of DevOps within GBME.
• Design and implement the core infrastructure components of platform that application runs on considering factors such as scalability, fault to tolerance, and security.
• Collaborate with business / application development teams to ensure the platform can support the business logic and support application workloads effectively.
• Automate product development life cycle.
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform builds to ensure optimal performance and availability. Ensure upgrades are handled in a timely manner which helps in reducing EOL currency issues.

Education and Experience

• GBME platform engineering (Multiple business lines) – platform build, enhancement and support.
• Key Technologies - private/public cloud, Kubernetes, Rancher, Elasticsearch, Airflow etc.
• Operating costs – Reduce operation cost while maintain quality delivery. 
• Computer Science Diploma or Degree; or related work experience
• Must possess technical proficiency sufficient to effectively perform these activities.
• Requires extensive understanding of project management principles and methodology as well as Scotiabank’s IT Roadmap.

• Understanding of continuous improvement processes and practices (e.g. Lean-Six Sigma and/or project management certification would be an asset).
• Membership or eligibility for membership in the Ontario Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists would be an asset.

We are the CRM, Sales & Branch Performance Engineering Team, part of Customer Servicing Engineering in Scotia Digital, focused on providing solutions that assist front line staff across channels in deepening relationship with our customers, providing better service and offering better products to them, and help improve sales & productivity along the way.

The group is a mix of architects, technology leads, business systems analysts, designers, SMEs, developers and testers who innovate and transform, develop customer servicing technology roadmaps, ensure end-to-end project delivery, support day to day operations, write technical stories, develop and test code, manage stakeholders and related teams.

The Sr. Power Apps Engineer is responsible for design and development on Power App Platform for complex business and technology initiatives for our various lines of business, day to day operations of Sales and Branch Performance Applications, providing thought leadership, navigating us through production issues and investigations, and being a key advocate of efficiency and continual improvement as we work to modernize.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Power Platform PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages and overall 10 + years of experience in enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated project experience developing solutions in Microsoft .Net Technologies.
• Experience in building medium and complex Power Automate flows.
• Experience in using multiple data connectors with Power Apps and Power Automate (flow).
• Experience with re-writing and re-engineering custom applications to configurable Power Apps solutions.
• Good DevOps Experience.

The Quality Engineering Lead reports to the Senior Manager, Quality Engineering, and is responsible for delivering QE tasks ensuring all aspects of testing (automation, manual, services, accessibility, etc.) are meeting quality while complying with Tangerine Delivery framework and process.  The Senior Quality Engineer is also responsible for maintaining the code for the Tangerine regression suite as well as executing it for each and every build prior to a production release

• Day-to-day coordination of QE squad, including overseeing and carrying out following type of testing:  Functional Testing (including automation), Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Accessibility Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Production Acceptance Testing and other types of testing as required.

• Delivering the automation results for the dedicated channel, based on the strategic directives set forth by leadership team

• Coach and provide mentorships to testing team members in various areas including business domain, functional testing, automation and non-functional testing while ensuring the test teams are compliant with Tangerine test methodologies and industry best practices.

• Recommending and implementing various process or framework enhancements by collaborating with QE community with in the bank.

• Manage and lead testing activities for multiple large scale enterprise wide programs/projects for Tangerine that are executed in Agile methodology

• Assess the risks associated with the development aspects of each solution/project and define approach for manual versus automation testing and institute change within the team

• Risk Management – document testing risks and provide mitigation and contingency plans from testing standpoint.

• Collect strategic, technical and operational test metrics.  Analyze current defects and test execution trends and extrapolate data for predictive analysis

• Work with people of varied level within QE and/or outside of QE Team including Business/Product, Engineering, PMO, Release Management, Design, etc. to meet key objectives and advocate for quality

• Responsible for team’s adherence to governance and processes, timely management of any issue or escalation and facilitates overall escalation processes

• Manage and review documentation and creating of testing artifacts (e.g., test strategies, plans, estimates, test cases, metrics/dashboard, defects log/report, sign-offs) to ensure artifacts adhere to prescribed standards and audit requirements

SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER

THE ROLE:

We are currently looking for a GPU System-on-a-Chip Verification Engineer who will be part of a team working on next generation of a complex GPU SOCs which include integration of GPU core, Multi-Media, Infinity Fabric, PCIE, etc. The successful candidate will play a key role in SOC verification performing the following duties for functional, power, and performance aspects with simulation and hardware emulation environment.

• Interacting with a wide variety of internal and external design verification development teams, DV methodology, and Silicon IP and tool vendors.
• Work with architects, and the design and DV team to develop test plans and execute system verification plans from GPU memory coherency, hardware virtualization, address translation, etc.
   

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong knowledge of programming
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages preferred
• Strong knowledge of digital logic and circuits
   

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
