As part of Maple Leaf Food’s Maintenance team, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility for the daily production of our products. Furthermore, they will ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees. Our Millwright rate is $45.49/hour, with an additional premium of $0.50/hour for the night shift.

Description: 

• Perform preventative maintenance & servicing to Building related mechanical equipment.
• Investigate and troubleshoot faulty Hangar Doors, Overhead doors, fire doors, etc.

Qualifications

• Must posses valid Driver’s licence with clean abstract
• Must posses an Interprovincial Journeyman Millwright license or Red Seal
• Must posses a Tag1 Gas license, Halocarbure Gas license and Refrigeration license CCQ. 
• Minimum 3 years field experience.
• Knowledge of building mechanics, Hangar door systems, control systems, BMS system (Trane/Siemens), Mechanical system operation, MIG welding, CMMS

Credentials

Major Responsibilities:
 

• Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and inspection tasks in the installation, maintenance, upgrade, testing and repair of heating (including gas flare), ventilation, pool mechanical systems, refrigerating and air conditioning systems and all related equipment. Prepares layouts and reviews diagrams and project designs to interpret them into new installations.

1. Must possess and be able to maintain a valid Certificate of Qualification as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic in accordance with the regulations enforced in the Province of Ontario (Regulation 1076).

Main Purpose and Function
The Utility Maintenance Worker prepares and operates outdoor pools, water features, and water parks and performs routine to skilled maintenance, repair and cleaning of Vancouver's pools and community/recreation facilities.
 
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
•    Responsible for a variety of functions related to the operation and service of swimming pools, pool chemical controllers, pumps, filtration and related equipment.
•    Performs and coordinates routine janitorial functions including cleaning change rooms and washrooms; washing & waxing floors, replenishing supplies, collecting and transferring refuse.

Qualifications
