The Financial Analyst (FA) assists in coordinating the financial reporting and analysis activities in the Brandon operations.  This position works closely with operations to accurately reflect the results, ensure internal controls are in place and monitored, and provide expertise and support.

• Report and provide explanations for variances/vitals weekly
• Investigate variances, determine root causes, and recommend actions to minimize.

• Coordinate period end inventory (Packaging/Spare Parts) counts, investigate & provide explanations for variances that occur
• Support the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts relating to Brandon Manufacturing and ensure controls are in place, and items are accounted for.
• Collaborate with Senior Finance Analyst on special projects as assigned.
• Provide coverage for Finance Team Members as required.
• Design, test, implement and maintain procedures
• Provide leadership in formulating reports (both recurring and ad-hoc) which highlight opportunities and our progress in minimizing costs.
• Provide analytical support to the Brandon facility.

The HR Advisor position at Brandon provides Human Resources and Labour Relations services and support to a pork manufacturing plant employing approximately 150 salaried and 2000 unionized employees operating on a day, evening and night shift rotation schedule.

• Investigate, resolve, and track employee complaints and work-related issues.
• Represent the Company in Joint Labour Relations meetings with the local Union executive and representative(s).
• Facilitate the grievance resolution process, and is the primary Company representative through Step 2 of the grievance resolution process; and acts as a resource/support to  the Senior HR Advisor during subsequent steps (i.e. mediation, arbitration).

The Assistant Cook works under the supervision of the Food Services Manager. He/she prepares and serves all foodstuffs for residents and staff according to the menu, standardized recipe and meal guide exercising due regard for sanitation and quality. He/she assumes ‘in charge’ responsibility in the temporary absence of the Head Cook and FSM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand and support the Resident Bill of Rights.
• Responsible for the production of the menu adhering to standardized recipe, and meal guide.
• Responsible for the service, quality and attractive presentation of the meals to residents, guests and staff. Observing resident preferences through suitable alternative choices.
• Understanding and ensuring that the needs of residents on therapeutic diets and/or modified consistencies are met.
• Ensuring that correct sanitation processes are used in the food production cycle and through completion of the planned sanitation program for the department.
• Participate in resident satisfaction through CQI auditing and involvement in the departmental CQI process.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Occupational Safety Coordinator will work closely with managers, supervisors and individual employees to promote occupational health and safety within the Brandon plant to develop safer, healthier and more efficient methods of working.  This involves maintaining health and safety systems, identifying hazards, and providing advice and support on accident prevention and occupational health.
