Cybersecurity Operations Analyst Full-time Job

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The analyst is a core role on CPKC’s Enterprise Security team and will assist with the design and execution of CPKC’s cybersecurity strategy. Duties may include securing enterprise information systems by determining security requirements; planning, implementing, and testing security systems; preparing security standards, policies, procedures, and mentoring team members.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide IT teams with security architecture and design guidance
- Support the interaction with stakeholders and project groups to assess and document information security and technology risks
- Deliver hands on implementation and/or management of some Enterprise Security systems
- Coordinate with project groups to interface with 3rd parties (where applicable)
- Assist in investigation and respond to security related alerts and incidents
- Assist with development, implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity procedures and configurations
- Research and assess emerging security threats and vulnerabilities and provide position papers
- Assist with the execution of CPKC’s information security strategy and roadmap
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree or college diploma equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering related technical disciplines or equivalent applicable work experience
- 1+ years of IT/IS infrastructure experience with a diverse technology background
- 3+ years of relevant experience in IT Security OR relevant experience in Incident Response management, reporting, playbook/runbook creation/maintenance
- Familiarity with NIST or ISO27001/02 frameworks

Qualifications Needed:

- Ability to work in cold & hot weather/environments and green/brown fields sites subject to grain dust.
- Appropriate level of experience in industrial maintenance/service environment. Agricultural Industry experience considered an asset.
- Enrolled in Apprenticeship program. Journeyman status is an asset.
- Required Safety tickets/training, minimally including a current First Aid Certificate, fall arrest, confined

Formula for success
- Utilizing your experience with driving and transportation you will ensure that blood and blood products are transported in accordance with safety measures and procedures and are kept at an appropriate temperature. You will also ensure the safety of employees, donors and/or volunteers travelling with you.
- Drawing on your knowledge of safe transportation procedures and your attention to detail, you will conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order, and accurately complete all required documentation.
- Leveraging your customer service skills, you will assist the collections team by greeting and helping donors book or rebook appointments as required.
- You will assist with setting up systems and Wi-Fi connections for mobile events by utilizing your familiarity with technology and aptitude for learning new programs.

Desired education and skills
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid Alberta Class 4 or 1-3 with knowledge test drivers license and a clean commercial drivers abstract from within the last 30 days.
- Minimum 24 months verifiable professional driving experience as a commercial vehicle driver, within the last 3 years.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
- A willingness to learn procedures in a regulatory environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English. A second language is considered an asset.
