UPS Package Drivers deliver and pick up packages from residential and/or commercial properties. This role involves driving, and the continual lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Drivers practice safe transportation methods while traveling to and from destinations, ensuring the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.

Job Type: Part-Time Permanent

Work Location: 5325 Rhodes Drive, Windsor ON N8N 2M1

Workdays: Tuesday - Friday (2 pm - 6 pm), Saturday (7 am- 2pm)

(Flexibility with start and finish times required based on operational needs)

Hourly Wage: $17.30/hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently and effectively
• Learn and properly execute UPS safe and defensive driving methods
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required
• Shuttle packages to Windsor airport
• Record, track, and maintain information about delivered packages
• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines by wearing the company-provided vest and uniform

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Proficiency in navigating and finding locations using maps, GPS devices, and map books
• Available to work Tuesdays to Saturdays
• Possession of a valid Ontario G driver’s license

• Clean Driver's Abstract confirming: a) No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)  b) No accidents and maximum of 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• 5+ years of experience with Cloud Managed Development/Services such as Google Cloud Storage

• 5+ years of experience in using Infrastructure as Code tooling like Terraform

• 5+ years of experience with development languages (Go, Python, etc.) You’ll be automating tasks, creating scripts, and developing infrastructure as code.

• 5+ years of experience with container-based technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• 5+ years of experience in the use of CI/CD Tools

• In-depth understanding of different database technologies (e.g., CloudSQL, NoSQL, Relational databases)

• Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle and release process (container-native workflow for job orchestration, Git/GitOps, CI/CD, environments, code repositories)

• 5+ years of experience with config management tools and Scripting Languages (Ansible, Bash, Groovy)
