The Electrician position, under limited direction, installs, maintains, test, troubleshoots and repairs industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. Primarily accountable for interpreting architectural drawings and electrical code specifications and form and test electrical circuits to ensure health and safety regulations. In addition, assure proper functioning and illumination of electrical equipment and work on equipment such as electrical transmission lines, motors, generators, distribution and plant equipment.

Performance Expectations

· Oversee inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with Ontario Electrical Standards Act.

· Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components as needed.

· Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.

· Update and log electrical changes.

· Maintain needed spares and purchase material in the most cost effective manner.

· Evaluate power for new equipment and connect to the Ontario Electrical Code.

· Complete interface to CNC equipment.

· Coordinate with all plant services and contractors as needed.

· Train and direct electrical employees and ensure they perform to required standards.

· Interpret information from pre-maintenance work orders to determine the location and appropriate work necessary.

· Take measurements using high voltage testing equipment.

Credentials

· Able to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.

· Technical school training and has completed the apprenticeship program.

· Licensed electrician (309A).

· Minimum two years of previous related experience.

· Able to read schematic drawings in order to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

· Ability to troubleshoot and determine resolutions when encountering malfunctions in equipment.

· Knowledge of phone systems, network cabling, security systems, door access systems and video surveillance systems is an asset.

· Able to work rotating shifts and weekend work, as needed.

· Travel may be required between Guelph facilities.

Desired Characteristics

· Ability to work independently, in addition, work as part of a team that includes other tradespeople and professionals to install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment.

· Receive in-house safety training to update certifications such as Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

The Preventative Maintenance Coordinator will act as the primary liaison person between maintenance and operations, while developing, coordinating, and monitoring preventative maintenance programs for the facility. Assist with the training of maintenance employees on the proper technique of preventative maintenance tasks and the importance of the program.

Performance Expectations

• Prepare preventative maintenance plans / instructions and schedules that are in sync with the organization’s maintenance goals and production requirements.
• Work order completion percentage ratio and PM recovery plan development.
• Assist with scheduling person power for regular PM activities.
• Coordinate planned downtimes to maximize MTBF and minimize MTTR and minimize interference with production schedules. 
• Estimate labour hours, tools, and resources needed to complete different work orders.
• Help with keeping an optimal stock of spare parts and materials required for PM in conjunction with the maintenance buyer.
• Prepare and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance checklists and other standardized procedures in the absence of the maintenance supervisor.
• Develop maintenance KPI’s in conjunction with the maintenance manager that show quantifiable values indicating effective and efficient progress towards achieving maintenance objectives.
• Tracking and trending data to develop departmental metrics on percentage of work order completion; benchmarking; overtime; planned maintenance completed on time.
• Tracking deferred maintenance plans and development to reduce the backlog.
• Assist in planning of annual major shutdown activities, and weekend work as needed when production operations are not running and repairs or PM’s / TPM’s must be executed.

Credentials

Millwright 433A License Required or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Reporting to Supervisor, Taxation Services, the Tax Accounting Analyst is responsible for ensuring transactions in the property tax system for the City are in compliance with legislation, policies and PSAB standards while ensuring efficient customer focused service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the integrity of tax account data, resolve anomalies, and manage payment options
• Monitor tax payments, manage the property tax schedule, and oversee tax adjustment applications
• Ensure legislative compliance for tax rebates, reductions, and refunds, including Senior, Disabled, Charity, Heritage, and Tax Deferral programs
• Manage assessment base, including reviewing property sales, municipally owned properties, and assessment accuracy with M.P.A.C.
• Coordinate with financial institutions for mortgage tax program management, including interest additions and deletions, payment reconciliation, and compliance reporting
• Perform tax accounting analysis, including reconciliation of property tax subledger, daily transaction reviews, remittances, and providing recommendations to management
• Assist Tax Administration staff where necessary and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Demonstrated knowledge and skill normally associated with the completion of a three (3) year degree in Business Administration from a recognized community college and a minimum three (3) years of relevant property taxation experience in a municipal environment
• Completion of the Municipal Tax Administration Program (M.T.A.P.) certification is required
• LEAN certification is considered an asset
• Strong mathematical, analytical skills, investigative and research abilities with a high level of financial accounting skills and possess a sense of accuracy and thoroughness along with good organizational and administrative skills
• Established skills and experience using PC equipment and related software applications, (i.e. MS Office Suite, Knowledge of TXM tax software, PeopleSoft, Intelligenz software) and other information technology relating to municipal government taxation
