The Warehouse Associate’s position is a physical fast-paced and labor-intensive role within a warehouse environment that involves sorting/stocking packages as well as loading and unloading them into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.
Job Type: Part-Time - Permanent
Work Location: 566 Riverview Dr, Chatham, N7M 0N2, ON
Workdays: Monday to Friday (5 days a week - No Weekends!)
Shift Start: 03:00am - 05:00am (approx.) - scheduled weekly
Shift Finish: 09:00am 10:00am (approx.) depending on package volume
(Flexibility needed with start and finish times. Shifts can extend longer during high package volume during peak holiday season.)
Pay rate: $17.30/hr

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers
- Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods
- Sort and stock packages based on postal codes
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) without assistance
- Full availability to work Monday through Friday (all five days of the week)
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
- No prior experience required
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay rate of $17.30/hr.

- Cleaning of cooling towers, coils, evaporator and condenser tubes and water treatment
- Delivery of parts and equipment
- General housekeeping

- Cleaning, repairing and routine maintenance of solar energy equipment
- Helper for service and maintenance Journeymen and Apprentices, as long as the Apprentices are fully employed

- Manage assessment base, including reviewing property sales, municipally owned properties, and assessment accuracy with M.P.A.C.
- Coordinate with financial institutions for mortgage tax program management, including interest additions and deletions, payment reconciliation, and compliance reporting
- Perform tax accounting analysis, including reconciliation of property tax subledger, daily transaction reviews, remittances, and providing recommendations to management
- Assist Tax Administration staff where necessary and other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill normally associated with the completion of a three (3) year degree in Business Administration from a recognized community college and a minimum three (3) years of relevant property taxation experience in a municipal environment
- Completion of the Municipal Tax Administration Program (M.T.A.P.) certification is required
- LEAN certification is considered an asset
- Strong mathematical, analytical skills, investigative and research abilities with a high level of financial accounting skills and possess a sense of accuracy and thoroughness along with good organizational and administrative skills
- Established skills and experience using PC equipment and related software applications, (i.e. MS Office Suite, Knowledge of TXM tax software, PeopleSoft, Intelligenz software) and other information technology relating to municipal government taxation
- Excellent customer service experience and good communication skills, both oral and written, to deal effectively with the public, staff, other levels of government
- Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative and under pressure in order to meet rigid deadlines
