We’re looking for a full-time Electrical, HVAC and AV Project Coordinator to work with us at our Port Carling office in beautiful Muskoka. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support the coordination of all of our electrical, HVAC and audio-video projects and ensure purchasing processes are running smoothly and accurately.

 

What you’ll do

  • Review drawings and specification packages for take-offs.
  • Assist in estimating new and ongoing projects.
  • Track all custom lighting and material for jobs throughout the lifecycle.
  • Receive custom materials in the warehouse and ensure the accuracy of products.
  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from project changes.
  • Ensure project and task deadlines are met.
  • Provide administrative support to the General Manager and Operations Manager as needed.
  • Undertake project tasks as required and perform other work-related duties as directed by the supervisor.

 

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • High competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • Skilled problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and ability to produce a consistent and significant volume of work. 
  • Keen collaborator with strong communication skills, advanced organization skills, initiative and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

 

Experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in project management or related field of study.
  • Minimum 10 years experience working in the electrical industry.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a work environment that required the use of similar skills required for this position.
  • Experience in sales using inventory management systems like InFlow is an asset.

  • Operate production equipment and evaluate performance as required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by transporting product between backroom/storage room to front-of-store with manual equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck).
  • Build, change or remove product displays while adhering to company standards; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space and securing damaged or defective product.
  • Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
  • Manage backroom by organizing stock (product); identifying, monitoring, and reporting inventory levels; evaluating and processing damaged product; re-packing product; organizing backroom materials (i.e., pallets, product shells etc.); completing any required paperwork.

    • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
    • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Qualifications

  • Must be 17 years of age.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in grocery, retail, warehousing or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working under little to no supervision preferred.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours
  • Must have current vehicle liability insurance.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with no major violations over the last three (3) years.
